Ms. Marla Unruh, Broadwater Elementary Librarian

Broadwater Elementary's fantastic librarian is Marla Unruh. Marla shared her aspirations and a little of her history. Stop by the library and say hello. I want to help our students become enthusiastic readers and skillful researchers! I want them to make inquiry and critical thinking their habits of mind for life. When I arrived in Helena in August of 2007 to take the librarian job at Broadwater, I was driving a UHaul truck and pulling a trailer with my car on it. That in itself was an adventure! And the subsequent years have been a great ride, as well! How glad I am that I landed at this school, where under the very positive leadership of Sue Sweeney, our teachers, paras, volunteers, and parents all work together for the benefit of all learners. Our families, students, and all school personnel are welcome in the Broadwater Library!
